Information about Speakers:

Kim G C Moody FCA, TEP, is a Chartered Accountant, Registered Trust and Estate Practitioner and a tax specialist practicing in Calgary as the CEO / Director of Canadian Tax Advisory with Moody’s Private Client Law LLP / Moody’s Private Client LLP and Moody’s Tax (a division of Moody’s Private Client Law LLP).

Kim also recently branched out through his professional corporation to put more energy into some of his “passion projects” involving public speaking, coaching, leadership studies, taxation policy and economics / public policy.

His main area of expertise is tax and estate planning for the owner-manager of private corporations, executives, professional athletes, and other high-net-worth individuals. Kim obtained his Bachelor of Management degree from The University of Lethbridge in 1992 and his CA designation from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Alberta in 1994.

David is Senior Vice President, Head of IG Private Company Advisory, leading the team that provides mid-market business clients with strategic advice and services related to business financing, growth and succession. He brings over 27 years of experience in investment banking and capital markets. Before joining IG in 2023, David led the private company advisory business at a leading Canadian financial institution.

David is a Chartered Financial Analyst and has a Master of Business Administration degree from the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. Additionally, he teaches mergers, acquisitions and business strategy part-time at the Ivey Business School. David is based out of London, Ontario.
