Roundtable With Adviser to President of Ukraine

DSC_0756-1170x780-960x540On May 13th, finance expert Prof. Basil Kalymon, economic adviser to the President of Ukraine, will be the special guest at a Roundtable Discussion organized by UCPBA Calgary.  Prof. Kalymon is interested in meeting with representatives of Calgary’s oil and gas industry to discuss the state of the Ukrainian economy and oil and gas exploration.  This event will take place on Wednesday, May 13th from 4 to 6 p.m. in the John Lecky Room at the Bow Valley Club, #370, 250 6 Ave SW.

Basil Kalymon is a member of a blue ribbon advisory panel to the president of Ukraine.

Professor Kalymon obtained a B.Sc. (Honours) from the University of Toronto and then completed a Ph.D. at Yale University. Prior to joining the Ivey School of Business at the University of Western Ontario in 1999, he held positions at the management schools of the University of California, Los Angeles, Harvard University and the University of Toronto. He has held visiting appointments at ESCP in Paris and at Johannes Kepler University in Austria. Professor Kalymon has also acted as Advisory Dean at Kyiv Mohyla Business School in Ukraine and has lectured extensively in Kyiv over the past 20 years.

Prof. Kalymon’s publications include several books and over one hundred other publications, including articles in academic journals, books, conference proceedings and technical reports. He has provided financial expert witness testimony at numerous regulatory hearings in Canada and the US and has acted as a consultant for a wide range of clients. He has also served on the Governing Council of the University of Toronto and on the boards of a number of corporations.
