A TV comedian-turned-politician with no previous executive or political experience has just been sworn in as president of Ukraine after winning an astonishing 73 percent of votes. The historic mandate positions Volodymyr Zelensky to push through several reforms and tackle rampant corruption. He’s also identified as his Number One priority bringing peace to eastern Ukraine. Michael Bociurkiw will assess the current political landscape and speak about what lies ahead for Ukraine. He will also provide unique insight about the work of the OSCE’s Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine. As this year marks the fifth anniversary of the downing of MH17, Michael will update us on the ongoing Dutch-led investigation.
