How Leaders Can Accelerate Change in Organizations:
A Model from the World of Education

Speaker: Dr. Linda Dudar
Dean of Education, St. Mary’s University
2017 UCPBA Calgary Lifetime Achievement Award Recipient

UCPBA Calgary is honoured to announce that the recipient of our 2017 Lifetime Achievement Award is Dr. Linda Dudar.

Currently Dean of Education at St. Mary’s University, Dr. Dudar is known in Calgary and beyond as an educator, administrator and choral director. With over 30 years of experience in various school districts, she was uniquely positioned to examine the process of time-sensitive organizational change in an educational setting, which she did in her doctoral thesis and in the book which she has co-authored Accelerating change in schools: Leading rapid, successful, and complex change initiatives (Emerald Group Publishing; out this month). The model which emerged from this study depicts a sequential and systematic process which is evidence-based, research-informed and encompasses insights from both leader and stakeholder perspectives. Dr. Dudar will be speaking about her research and about how the model that she has developed can be used by everyone from business owners to community leaders.

Linda Dudar is also known as the longtime choir director at St. Stephen Protomartyr Ukrainian Catholic Church and for her involvement in expanding the collaboration of STMU with the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv.

We encourage everyone to wear their embroidered finery (optional) in honour of Den Vyshyvanky. Please RSVP by Monday, May 22nd to admin@ucpbacalgary.org.
